Tennyson Court Celebrates Veterans Day
On Tuesday November 11th, Tennyson Court opened its doors to the public in honor of Veteran’s Day.
We had a free breakfast buffet with Scott Celani performing on guitar for a packed house of Tennyson Court families and residents. We were proud to honor all of our residents who served in the armed forces and be able to share a small snippet of their stories. We presented each resident with a certificate and took a photograph with them holding it.
As a special guest, we were honored to host John Beard from Channel 2 News and recognize him for his services in the armed forces and his continued service to the Buffalo area. We also had a 50/50 raffle where we raised money for the Wounded Warriors Project, and the winner of the other half was a resident’s daughter who had served in the military.
Tennyson had such a fantastic morning serving those who have served us for so many years and continue to do so with their unfailing love for our country. We are so thankful for all who have dedicated and given their lives for our freedoms and we’re happy to give back a small amount of that service to the Buffalo area. Thank you to everyone who came, participated and helped to put on such an amazing event!
